Save OR Time & Decrease Surgeon Frustration
Clogged shaver/burr disrupting your surgeon’s flow, causing delays? Disassembling and clearing a clogged shaver/burr takes valuable OR time and can damage the instrument. BladeClear rinses and removes frustrating debris after each use, eliminating surgeon frustration.

Dr. Mark Ritter
Dr. Mark Ritter is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and trauma, including injuries to the knee and shoulder. After medical school at the University of Iowa, Dr. Ritter trained in orthopedic surgery at Brown University in Rhode Island and completed 2 post graduate fellowships; one in trauma and another in arthroscopy and sports medicine. Arthroscopic procedures, like ACL reconstructions and rotator cuff repairs are the focus of his practice.
Dr. Ritter is the past president of Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, and serves as a team physician for Indiana professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. He has a wealth of experience treating high school, collegiate and professional athletes’ injuries surgically and non-surgially. He and Mark Dale met in 2006 in the operating room and formed a fast friendship, cofounding Mark 2 Medical and patenting BladeClear together.
When he’s not in the OR, at the clinic or on the sidelines, Dr. Ritter enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his family. He is happily married to Hadley Ritter, MD, an endocrine surgeon who specializes in thyroid and parathyroid cancer cases. They are the proud parents of two girls and a boy.
Mark Dale
Mark Dale attended Ball State University and in 1991 founded Dale & Associates, Inc, an independent representative agency specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. Over the many years of experience and thousands of surgical cases, Mark Dale dedicated his business to arthroscopic shoulder and knee procedures.
In 2006, Dr. Mark Ritter and Mark Dale met in the OR and formed an instant connection. Over thousands of surgical cases, and the challenges presented therein, the “2 Marks” problem solved together, shared ideas and concepts, and discussed how, “When a surgeon curses, therein lies opportunity.” Clogged arthroscopic equipment spawned the idea for BladeClear. Although their relationship began professionally, Dr. Ritter has become a dear friend, confidante and now business partner.
Mark Dale is married to his beautiful bride Elizabeth and has three amazing children who have become successful adults. His family is his greatest gift and he loves spending time with them whenever possible. His oldest son is a Purdue alumnus and works for Pratt & Whitney as an aerospace engineer. His daughter is an Indiana Wesleyan graduate and accomplished painter who has created many beautiful pieces for her clients. His youngest son is a bio-chem major at Ball State and plans to matriculate to medical school.
